Q: Social Science, huh?




A: Social Science Recordings is a boutique record label in downtown Los Angeles. Run by musicians and music lovers, it is dedicated to lyrically-engaging, pop-inflected music by gifted singer/songwriters and indie rock bands. Social Science acts as an orphanage-oasis for our artists. We lovingly groom each of our charges for the challenges and adventures they will encounter beyond the orphanage walls. 

The Social Science staff gathers each day in an unmarked building and assisted by copious amounts of coffee, music and computers, we toil to bring extraordinary music to the world.


Q: What is your demo submission policy?


A: We are currently accepting demos from singer/songwriters, indie and/or pop bands through Sonicbids only.


Q: Does Social Science have an amazing internship program?


A: We have a limited number of internships for industrious college students who are looking for an interesting, hands-on experience in the music industry. You must receive college credit for your labors and live in LA. You should be congenial, dependable, a good writer and not at all socially awkward around computers. Q: I am a dj at a radio station and/or write for a hearty and consistent blog. How do I obtain a promotional copy for my radio show/blog?
