We’re excited to be hosting a Desmond Dekker covers night with a bunch of our favorite bands. Each act will be playing one original and one Desmond Dekker cover to celebrate the 40th anniversary of “Israelites.” (In 1969 Desmond Dekker broke through the US charts as the first Jamaican artist to have a top ten hit!)

40 Years in the Desert: A Tribute to Desmond Dekker will take place Saturday, OCT 17 at Social Science Recordings Loft in downtown LA.

We’d be honoured if you would join us in remembrance of the Godfather of Rocksteady! We guarantee fun and spiritual vibes. There will also be a cash bar with cheapie drinks and dj’s spinning The Best of Desmond and Associates.
